1 Day Horsehair Raku Firing Workshop

9:00am - 6:00pm (1 hour lunch break) Instruction will be given from 9:30am - 4:30pm
$50 per person. Includes all firing materials.

Description
Through practical demonstrations and hands - on experience, each student will participate in firing their work using horsehair and colourants.
What to bring
Each student is asked to bring to the workshop 4 bisque fired items. For smooth surface items, it would be best if the item is either burnished, or prepared with terra sigilatta.
For textured surfaces and sculptural work, the items can be burnished or left without any further treatments. Best results can be obtained using light or white bodied clays. Please let me know if you need any further information to prepare your work. I will be happy to answer your questions.
